Windsor, Ontario Angler Wins Border City Classic
Kyle Moxon from Windsor, Ontario took 1st place for the 2nd year in a row at the 4th Annual Border City Classic. His total of 62 3/4 inches for his 3 biggest bass helped him earn the right to represent Canada at the Hobie Fishing World Championships in Amsterdam later this year.
82 participants from all over Southern Ontario, and Michigan, Illinois and Indiana launched their kayaks into the Detroit River and Lake St. Clair on both sides of the border early Saturday morning for Ontario's Zone 19 Bass opener. The competition from recreation and tournament bass boats didn't bother the human powered crafts. The top fifteen anglers reached at least fifty inches for their 3 fish totals.
Adam McKay and Dario Vera both from the Toronto area took 2nd and 3rd place.
