My Name is Aaron Goodis and I am a free lance photographer and fly fishing instructor based in Vancouver, BC. I grew up in Vancouver and I have been fly fishing since a very young age, my parents might say since diapers. I enjoy fly fishing for any thing with fins although chasing Steelhead in Northern British Columbia takes the priority. When not on the river or searching for epic light to capture the perfect photograph I can be found teaching fly casting, editing photos or writing articles. I am a certified fly casting instructor through the Federation Of Fly Fishers and I am on the pro staff for Rajeff Sports, G-Loomis and Simms Fishing Products. My photographs have been published for major magazines such as North West Fly Fishing, Fly Fusion, BC Outdoors Sport Fishing, Canadian Fly Fisher and Hatches just to name a few. My work has also been used to support conservation organizations like the Steelhead Society Of BC. Along with editorial work I also sell fine art prints, shoot product for websites and even the odd wedding. A high light for me was working as a venue photo supervisor at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic winter games. I also teach Fly Fishing, Fly casting and Photography work shops through out Canada. Basically I love all things photo and fly.
