Born and raised in Alberta, Dan’s obsession for the outdoors started at the very young age of 2 months old when his parents took him on his first camping trip to the back country of the Rocky Mountains.

Dan is an avid open water fisherman, fly fisherman, and can even be found out in the frigid winter temperatures ice fishing. He loves catching Trout, Perch, Whitefish, and Burbot in the lakes and rivers of Alberta. Dan is an avid open water fisherman, fly fisherman, and can even be found out in the frigid winter temperatures ice fishing. He loves catching Trout, Perch, Whitefish, and Burbot in the lakes and rivers of Alberta. But his true love is fishing for the massive Walleye and Northern pike that are hidden in some of Alberta’s world class waters.

Dan also has a passion for fishing for Salmon, Halibut, and Rockfish off the coast of British Columbia, and Alaska. When time permits Dan also won’t pass up the chance to throw a hook out in the Caribbean for a Sailfish or Mahi–Mahi.

Dan is not only avid fisherman, but spends any time he can in the outdoors hunting, fishing, and shooting. Some of his big game passions include whitetails, mule deer, elk, moose, bears antelope, and bighorn sheep. His passion in the hunting industry has also landed him pro-staff positions with Bushnell and Final Approach.
