I am 15 years old and my passion is fishing. Ever since i moved here in Bowmanville, i have been fishing my local river almost every day. The first day I went down to the river was when I was 8 years old and I saw my first salmon landed by a local fisherman. I am 15 years old and my passion is fishing. Ever since i moved here in Bowmanville, i have been fishing my local river almost every day. The first day I went down to the river was when I was 8 years old and I saw my first salmon landed by a local fisherman. Everyday, after school i would walk down to the river to try and catch my first salmon. After a while of watching people how to do it i started to get the hang of what people where using.

Finally, I caught my first Salmon on a roe bag and was so exited. This is the day when i got hooked on river fishing. River fishing got 10 times more addicting whene i was introduced to steelhead fishing at the age of 11. At the age of 12, i received my first pin and 13 foot rod from a guy at the river i met which i will never forget! A few days after a received my first pin my float went down and my heart dropped. I set the hook and i had a beautiful steelie at the end of my line. Hooking into my first steelhead on a pin was the best feeling ever. That day was so much fun and i will never forget it. Ever since i got insanly addicted to steelhead fishing.

If i am not on the river chasing steelies, salmon or browns i am fishing other species of fish on different bodies of water. Me and my dad are in The Great Ontario Salmon derby every year chasing big kings. I also love to fish smaller bodies of water for smallies, largies, muskie, panfish, walleye, carp, and pike. I love getting out on the water even if im not catching anything at all.
