My guiding career started at the age of 15 in the ocean and 17 in the freshwater. I was youngest licensed guide in the province and I was quick to grow a sport fishing business that has flourished for the past 25 years. At the age of 18 I joined Shimano as the only Prostaff west of Manitoba and I started down the road of doing all of the western Canadian sportsman shows. From a young age I made contacts and friends from all over Canada which helped me grow as an angler and an industry leader. Through these contacts I been a guest on 43 fishing shows, written about in countless magazine article. I have made great relationships with many of the industry leaders and I am currently Prostaff for Shimano, Power Pro, Lowrance, Simrad and Scotty Manufacturing.
With the business that I am I have become a bit of boat junkie and my guide boat collection consists of 5 Gradywhites 4 Pursuits, 6 Jet boats, 1 Hyde drift boats and numerous rafts.
I present time I have two Lodges in Kyuquot Sound on the west side of Vancouver Island, and a lodge on the Stamp River in Port Alberni. The Lodges in Kyuquot caught 7000 fish in 75 days in 2011 and the fall salmon return was 60,000 Coho and 30,000 Chinook. Our lodges and guides are industry leaders and I am proud of reputation that we have built over the past 25 years.
