WOW, what a summer! Crazy! The numbers don't lie!

The summer of 2012 has been absolutely incredible weather-wise and has flown by. I've been feeling a little on the tired side and was amazed when I did up my Sept. calendar that I could potentially be on the water for 27 out of 30 days next month. I just thought that I'd go back & check my August calendar and realized that by the end of this month I will have been on the water for 25 out of 31 days, no wonder I'm tired. Between tournaments, guiding and pre-fishing, by the end of Sept. I will have been on the water for 52 out of 61 days even by my standards I'd have to admit that I'm crazy!

Don't get me wrong I cherish every day out fishing but as we get older, the body tends to complain a little bit when forced through stretches such as this. This is the first year that I've properly tracked my time on the water and by this season is over, I will be up somewhere around 60 tournament days. I am thankful to be relatively healthy in order to be able to maintain such a heavy schedule. The season has had a few speed bumps along the way but it's all good! Thank you to all my understanding partners in 2012!

Now you might understand when I roll my eyes as someone complains about his 2 days in a round on the water and how tired he/she is. LOL

I need some learnin Dave. I read a post some time back and I've got
to admit that fishing alone and learning things by trial and error
works some but fishing with others is what my game is missing.
Fishing the Kingston Open and the Thousand Islands tourneys this year
showed me this clearly, lol. Anytime you need someone to help you
launch and dock your boat let me know Dave.

Envy here Dave, I've only put 39 days in on the water and everyday I'm
behind my desk, I'm thinking of the water. It has been a beautiful
year weather wise though. Good luck with the rest of your tourneys!

Wow, that much time on the water must take its toll on the body for
sure. I don't complain about it but I would be one of those guys who
you would "roll your eyes at". lol
