Gloucester Pool Club Tournament
Gloucester pool ON

Reel Used: Ardent edge

Bait Used: Lunkerhunt
well yesterday (August 5th) the Barrie Bassmasters held our 4th club tournament of the season on Gloucester Pool. Woke up in the morning to some big time rain falling, got on the rain gear and and setup the boat, cause rain ain't $*#% when it comes to fishing, BRING IT!!!! By the time I was half way up to Driftwood Marina, which was where it was going out of, all the rain had stopped, which gave way to partly cloudy skys, and light winds, for most of the mornig with thunder storm in the afternoon. I had prefished for this tourny, on Tuesday which had more or less the same weather pattern, so I knew I was fairly good. But there could still be the chance that all that thunder and lightning over night, through those fish off.
Started my morning in a smallie spot which is a rocky point that comes out about 40 yards and 20 accross only 2 feet of water and deep weeds all around it, second cast my partner nails a 3 pounder, right after that I get mine just under that, it was like that for most of the morning. we would leave (never too far, and always watching for other boats lol) go back to it and they were on again. The times we did leave we would go hit some docks and lilypads and really got into the largies also, lost really good couple of fish in the junk but love fishing that stuff.
At the end of the day we came in with a combined wheigh of 18.30 lbs to take 5th place not bad for a day that looked like a right off.
