Reel Used: Pfleuger Supreme XT
Rod Used: Shimano Cumara / Dobyns champion extreme
Line Used: Power pro
Bait Used: XZONE slim slammer
Hit the water late on a Sunday with 2 of my best buddies Marc Furtado and Mike Furtado, the fish were few and far between in the AM. We Fished shallow and deep rock piles, sand bars, flats etc. marking hooks in the process. I couldnt understand why these fish wouldnt go so i went to something more subtle the Xzone slim slammer hooked unconventionally wacky rigged on a short tungsten drop shot rig. My first drop down whack I got hit so we were on to something a few more fish later we had created our pattern for the day. We got alot of the hooks we knew were big smallies to go. I looked at my buddy Marc and said "I always find the fish" . Fishing picked up when we found are offshore spot that was holding big arcs that turned into wat looked like lasagna sheets on the graph. I knew the fish were actively feeding on bottom. all in all a great day. Gotta love lady Simcoe
