I noticed on my last two trips that the fish would not eat a top water first thing like they have in the past. They were suspended in about 15' all over the lake weather I was in 20' or more. Usually spots will move right up and eat it, but not lately. That's a bummer. We all love that top water bite.
This summer I have come to really appreciate three things:
1. The variations of the multi-rig that simply help me catch more fish. This is a great method for suspended fish. However, the fish are really picky right now. Having multiple rigs ready with different colors and configurations makes all the difference. They will eat it when you get the right rig in there and... they will eat it all over the lake.
2. Storing Multi rigs has proven to be challenging. I love these bait wraps. https://www.eyesurrendernow.com/page5.php
You can have 3 or 4 mutli rigs tied on and 4 to 8 in one single wrap.

3. Sun Glasses. Serious. I have worn and absolutely loved Eye Surrender glasses for years. They have the clearest lenses on the market and the most lightweight frames available. The owner is a retired teacher and keeps his cost down by offering only two frames. But the glasses are only $39 and $59. The same exact frames and lenses would cost $150 plus with another manufacturer. I use amber in low-light in the morning and green during the day when the sun is high. Use BASDISC for 20% off.
