What an awesome week i must say it was! The Icast 2012 show in Orlando was great. To see some of the top Anglers in the world along with all the new product for next year under 1 roof was Wicked! There sure is alot of new product coming out for 2013. The all new Shimano Calcutta is going to hit the water by storm! Check out Dave Mercer's videos to see that Reel in action. The NPS both was busy as could be anytime i walked by, which was awesome to see, this site is only going to get bigger!! Be sure to check out what MinnKota and Humminbird have in store for 2013, The 360 imagine is going to rock, also the new Minn Kota ipilot "I Link" is something new and is going to benefit alot of fisherman!
From Orlando We traveled to Port Charlotte in hope of a Tarpon. I was fortunate to hook 3, didn't get to land any, but to see the force these fish have was unreal. My long time Friends Nelson Murakami and John Burkhardt of Natural Sports in Kitchener both landed 1 each, Johns approx 70lbs with Nelson waiting until our last day to show us how it's done. He hooked an approx 120-130 pounder right beside the boat, 1hour and 25 minutes later he landed it! What a massive fish. Other fish we cought the week we were there were Redfish, Snook, Mackeral and lady fish.
