Streamside Supports Kids Fishing!
Sault Ste Marie, St Marys River ON
Jul. 16, 2012 4:53pm

Reel Used: SG10
Rod Used: Streamside Predator 6 ft med spinning
Line Used: 6 lb Berkley Fuzed Crystal Fireline & Northland 10 lb Fluorocarbon
I had the opportunity this past weekend to take a break from my Tournament Director responsibilities and spend 30 minutes with some great kids talking about fishing. I want to thank Streamside for their generous support and it really made a difference in sharing what getting outdoors to fish is all about. The kids loved all their little freebies, especially the frog!

We reviewed tactics for perch and rock bass using a slip bobber technique and a 1/8 jig or smaller tipped with a small piece of worm. We also reviewed some walleye tactics when fishing from shore using a walking jig tipped with a leech or worm. Can't forget the discussion on skipping frogs on the lily pads for some hungry bass. The kids were involved and asked many questions. It was good to get some practice because I hope to do more of this in the future. This is how we grow our sport. Include some pictures.
