Adapting to Conditions: Part 6,7,8,
ON
Jul. 10, 2012 11:26am

I hope you guys enjoyed my previous posts because now I am here to do another one! This one is special, I will include how to fish changing conditions based on Sky Conditions, Fishing Pressure, and Other Factors. Enjoy!

Sky Conditions:
In clear water, cloudy skies are better to fire up those aggressive fish! If the water is stained, sunny skies are better. If its sunny, flashy colours will work better. If its cloudy, solid colours and good profile bait will work better. Subtle baits work better for sunny and clear water.

Fishing Pressure:
Downsize when your fishing clear water, with high fishing pressure and make long casts. Sometimes, when your in a tournament with many boats, locating areas where there is no boats might be key, although, there might be less fish. If your fishing around others, use a different bait and be SUPER accurate with your casts. Also, make multiple casts. You have to do something different then the other guy in your spot and put your bait in better places. Sometimes, fishing areas where boat traffic happens can be effective. Around marinas, docks and launches. The reason behind this is that the traffic will stir up many plants and algae attracting baitfish and then bass!

Other Factors:
Fishing before a cold front is super effective, the bass will be really active anywhere in the lake. But after a front, the bite will be very slow. When theres a full moon the night before, the bass will be pushed up into the shallows. Before a rain storm happens, use fast moving baits and cover lots of water. Before you head out, take a look at the weather channel and plan where you'll fish on the lake.

I hope you enjoyed these tips and I am looking forward to posting more! I have aquired these tips from experience, reading and watching these tips work in action!
