Man, I love fishing. I wish I could do this every day of my life. My love, and passion for it is un-real. I have been on the water for the past six days, and this has really been a week to remember.

On Saturday and Sunday my dad and I pre fished for the two up coming CSFL events. We hit G-Pool on Saturday, and it was fantastic. It seemed like everywhere we casted, we were reeling in a big bass. We are really looking forward to our tournaemt this weekend!
On Sunday, we headed to G-Bay. We caught around 15 fish, but our three biggest only weighed eight pounds and change, so we decided we would save our money for another tournament.
On Monday, a buddy and I went to a small lake in Orrilia that is loaded with big bass. We found the fish shallow, but had some trouble getting them to hit. We found a pattern by way pointing fish, letting them sit for a hour or two, then long bombing crank baits in the general area where we though they were sitting. This tactic worked very well for us, and produced some monstor buckets!
Tuesday was a day I will remember for the rest of my life. I won my fist tournament. It was a 17 boat tournament on Balsam put on the the Bass Pro Shops in Vaughn. These tournaments are for Bass Pro employes, and pro staff. My partner and I only weighed in 14.58 pounds, but it was still enough to take it. What a day! There is no feeling in the world better than having people cheer for you as you receive the first place prize!
Wednesday, a buddy and I went to a small lake in Barrie to Flip up some Buckets. But we didnt only get them flipping. We also caught them throwing a senko along deep weed lines, pitching slow falling creature baits, and throwing frogs on transition areas. A very fun day, which will also make a great addition to the new season of my TV show, Launching Lures With Lunkerboy.
Today, the only plans I had were to sleep until noon, and cut the grass. After those two things were done, I realized 5 days on the water just werent enough. So, I called up my buddy and we took the canoe out on simcoe for a hour or so. And let me tell you, that was the best fishing I had all week. My buddy and I landed at least a 20 pound bag, and both shattered our smallmouth PBs. ever land a 6 poubd smallie in a canoe? It sure is wild! Unfourtionetly, canoes are known to tip, therefore we didnt bring the phones, or cameras so there are no pictures. But were going back tomorrow in the boat, so I will let you all know how I do then!
Well, thats what I have been up to lately. Hope everyone is having a good bass season as well! Tight Lines!

Congrats on your 1st place finish. And a 6 lb smallie would be a
blast in any type of boat but a canoe would be amazing. Good job.

Good Job Cole, congrats on your first victory. Keep it up and enjoy
every second on the water. If you get the chance, head up to Algonquin
Park to fish the smallies on Burnt Island out of the canoe... you'll
love it, there something special up there.
