There is one thing that I love more than actually fishing, and that is watching young kids learn how to catch fish. June 2 I had the privilege to attend and help with my church's "Fishing Frenzy". All in all we probably had around 200 participants, and around 100 or so families. Some kids had a lot of experience, and some had no experience what so ever. It made for an interesting day!
Each angler was supplied a Zebco combo. My job was to supply each young angler with hooks, line, bobbers, and sinkers as needed. I also was to help anyone who needed assistance taking fish on and off the hook. I soon came surprised at what all I was unhooking and weighing in!
All fish are weighed from .01 ounces to 20 pounds. I soon found myself watching young kids fighting six pound catfish on six pound line, and having the times of their lives while doing so. I have never seen some of the children so happy in their lives. I even asked a couple if fishing was better than video games. I received a very quick, "YES!" I found it a true joy to be able to see all of these youngsters enjoying themselves while angling!
I urge each and every one of you, if you ever have a chance to take a youngster fishing. DO IT! The experience will give you must greater satisfaction than catching a trophy bass any day!

Great job Caleb. Nbpro Bass and the NBSFA here in New Brunswick both

sport of fishing but also to respect for this wonderfull resource that
