Every year at this time of the year I get a little depressed that I’m not heading up to Great Slave Lake to guide at Frontier Fishing Lodge for another summer. During my summer holidays during university I used to head up there around this time in June for a full 3 months of guiding for Giant Lake Trout, Grayling, and Pike. I want to wish some of the NPS ProStaff members going up this season a safe and fun season. Amy Nesbit, Corey Myers, Mike Clark and Tom Waldock are heading up and should be at the lodge any time now. These guys are in for yet another hell of a summer. Can’t wait to follow your reports and make sure you bring back some wicked stories and memories.
Here are some of the memories I was able to collect in the 3 summers at my idea of heaven on earth AKA Great Slave Lake.
