Finally here and set up my stuff late. Caught 3 Bass and 2 small catfish, not a good start. I need a school, not randoms and it would sure help if my partner Liam was here to catch the other 2. It's a different deal down here. The Bass arent shallow at all and I havnt found much for good structure yet. I'll concentrate on main lake points tomorrow and see where that gets me. Loads of fun and I read a post on the Kerr Lk. message board that said 12 pds won a BASS event last weekend. Hopefully by the 14th that's a dun deal. The 3 Bass I caught had holes in their mouth indicating they had been caught before and they had that wasting disease as I had expected from my research. Anyway I'll post again soon, hopefully with some confident news. |

Flip a green pumpkin jig at any wood structure you find along the
shore in 8-13 ft., Huw. Most of the bass action is in the Virginia
part of lake from Clarksville, working the shoreline into Panhandle
creek opening to Rudds creek and Eastland creek right now. My buddy
said he has been bringing in 18-20 lb sacks this week. Hope this helps
you out, buddy.

Best of luck to ya Huw. Like the pic of your Astro. I have a 20ft
Astro myself. Did you add that reboarding ladder to the boat or was
it always on the boat?

Thank you Kasey, after today I need some help. I've been fishing
Nutbush but not catching, I'm all over your advice starting tomorrow.
You have no idea how that helps!!!! The ladder came with the boat.
She's a mess but the gelcoat looks good in the rain, lol. I'll post
with Kasey's fish tomorrow!
