12th and 11th
Nipissing and tri lakes ON
Jun. 3, 2012 9:29pm

Another Top50 pike series tournament went down in St.Charles this past weekend. Nipissing can somtimes be tough fishing but we lucked out. Lots of little ones were biting and the vast majority of boats caught their five fish. I managed to hook into some nice fish after weeding through endless key chains and hammer handles. I had just a ton of fun and although we came 12th I certainly smelled like I won. I was world's slimiest man ;) Thanks to numbers, just not enough size. Tons of exciting hook sets and loads of fun with my brother Chip Waldock as my partner.
The Sebile Magic swimmers were sneaking around logs and weeds just right! It's so exciting in a tournament to see a pike come screaming from cover and nail your bait. I think I'm addicted.
And oh ya we got 11th on my home waters in Huntsville today. I don't want to talk about it much really, it was one of those days. I'm on the water everyday(almost literally), We were in the spots, We saw the fish, We even had the fish hooked to win. Alot went wrong with clasps and other unlucky misfortunes including a 40 inch pike break off. We had him hooked, we fought him, he broke us off and metaphoricly swam away with our cheques. That's fishing though right. My brother and I had a great weekend together, hung out with some great people, flew our flags, and came home happy to tell you about it. Think about doing a pike tournament yourself, the Top50 is a great way to start and if you ever need any guidance or help I'm on here to give it. 705 788 4220
