For the first time in the 9 years I've ran this event we had the perfect day! Sunny and 22 deg. with that came record attendance for the event at 267...
Well in hindsight looks like we should have fished the beds... We finished the day in 56th place with 26.23 lbs(6 fish limit). Went north for the fatties but didn't get enough of them! Good news is the Johnson boys are carrying on where they left off in 2011 and sitting in 3rd with 29.90. Boys are crazy good! beds have been picked hard and weights will drop tomorrow and standings with change hopefully for the better for us!! 20 Mph winds today and as high as 25 mph for tomorrow.
Here is a pic of Bob with a couple of our bigger fish. The one is only 17" and weighed 4.5 lbs. Don't get much fatter than that.
Sweet Deal!! That is one fat fish. Amazing that a fish only 17" can
even eat that much. What a Dukker!! Keep it up guys stay focused and
bring home the rewards.
