Pike finally opens this weekend in the Huntsville area! I'm so excited- its madness. My long time friend, Tomas Gadomski and I will be fishing the two TOP50 pike series events this weekend to take place in Huntsville. On the saturday, the event will be held on Mary lake and run from 8-330 at Port Sydney beach. $230.00 per boat. The following day we'll be on the Tri-lakes right in Huntsville yet again putting in work from 8-330.

These are my home waters so Tomas and I will be looking to be very competitive and are hoping for atleast a top 10 in both events. You never know though, thats fishing- Hopefully we can get some of the big boys in my "big fish spots" to bite and We head to weigh in with five monsters if all goes well. The tournaments are won by the most total length of five fish tallied with a 10cm live release bonus for each fish.

On the Sunday the tournament ends at 330 and wouldn't you know it, some of my return clients are so eager for pike they are coming to see me at the weigh in then booking me for a pike trip right after! Its going to be a long day on the water. I've got a 7.5 hour tournament right after the saturday tournament followed by a pike charter at 3:30. Sunday is going to be like 12 hours straight fishing with me non stop working the trolling motor. Oh well you've got to do what you love, AND I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!

I'm already prepped and ready for saturday morning. I've been dreaming about 30+ inchers exploding out of no where to nail paused jerk baits in my honey holes, so hopefully my dreams come true over and over again on Saturday and Sunday.
