Well its almost midway through May and time is sure flying by. Less then two weeks until I head west and in exactly one month Ill be wetting a line on Great Slave once again. I picked up some amazing new products for this season and cannot wait to try them out. I'm proud to be representing some amazing companies and looking forward to getting back on the water. My new fly rod is in the mail, my tackle is already at the expediter awaiting my arrival in Yellowknife but it still seems like I am forgetting something. Maybe its just a relentless craving to find that next best thing, or to simply spend money, who knows. I thought Id post this and see what you guys would like to see me bring up to LAKER country. Id love to hear what everyone hear on NPS uses to entice lake trout and see if I cant come up with a few more last minute purchases before I head to NWT. Any thoughts? |

I've used the lake trolls Shane and for the most part they work just
as well as spoons. But jut after lunch when the bite dies down a bit
they are killer! Usually hook on a herring.
