I was out today layin the smack down in crap town. It was cold wet and a heck of alot of fun. It didn't really start out that way though. It was really alot of hard work, driving around the lake and alot of thinking out of the box. We spent most of the day trying to find the fish by looking in bays and small inlets were we normley catch them. No luck. So buddy and I decided to try around some reed beds and stumps that we thought my hold some Crappies. At first my buddy started to catch them on a small swim bait (with out a float) just dragging it along the bottom.Iwatched land 4 or 5 before I couldn't take it any more. I took my float off and start to cast a Lunkerhunt Bentos on 1/8 oz jig head. BINGO. I geuss the point of the storey is to think outside of the box. Get out and try something different. Today could have been very different results had we not tried to fish a different way than how we useually catch crappie. I hope that I can get back out there againg soon because I want to see if I can find more areas like these ones on this lake and hopefully the results will be the same.
