Walleye on the Xzone Slammer!

Got out for a few hours today on the St. Lawrence River. Launched out of Ogdensburg. Water temps were 50-52 degrees in the main channel area. Spent a few hours hunting for some walleye. I was throwing the Xzone Slammer which is a such a great bait. Very durable and the fish love it. I couldn't find any monsters but the perfect sizes of 18-20 inches were biting like crazy! They were all over the Watermelon color slammer just slowly dragging it on a drop shot rig around 23 ft along a ridge that runs right along the front of the greenbelt area in front of Ogdensburg. All together I caught 7 walleye in about 2 hours and I never had to replace my slammer. Used the same one for all 7 fish and it's still on my drop shot set up for the next outing. Great times. Can't wait until bass season. Come on June!

Nice, I'm hoping to get out on Lake Huron in the next week or 2 for some of those too. Last year I was using a 3/4 oz Football Jig Swammer & other Swimbaits with some success, I'll give Dropshotting the Slammers a try too. Thanx & Tight Lines Richard.
