New Water Episode 3 features walleye hunting at Pointe du Bois with Big China!

Garther Cheung, aka Big China Outdoors, went exploring up river with us from Pointe du Bois, on the Winnipeg River system in Manitoba’s Whiteshell Provincial Park. We went in search of walleye...and while boating plenty, lots of other fish showed up to the party too! The mayfly hatch was on, and played a big factor in where and when those fish would bite. Some of our favourite summer structure, like mid-water humps and reefs, held no fish. Weed edges, flats and main shore points with current breaks held all the action, as long as we were matching the hatch.
