LONG AWAITED

for most steelheaders in Ontario this has been one long awaited time. with low waters and and prolong temps below zero. very slow runoff and still some rivers iced over. well thank god the rain is finally comin. been real hit and miss these past few months if ya could brave the cold and winds. snuck out this morn and managed a few. I had on my new streamside wading jacket today. gotta say I pretty impressed. super light and comfortable. wind and water proof. big pockets and hand warming pockets as well. secondly I finally got to try out that blood run main line. absolutely love it. the very fisrt line I have ever used that stays afloat the entire time I was out. a must have. here the part I getting real tired about. ya always get your local yahoos to a creek that run there mouths and think they own the river. this one kills me today. I try to use as little roe as I can these days but certain days and conditions call for it. so I low on roe so I bank a hen this morn. then the owner of the creek 2 people down starts runnin his yap. so all I said was do me a favour and lift up your line. well low and behold there was a roe bag 3ft under his float. so a few choice words fallowed but ill keep it pg rated lol so if ya think ya own a creek think before ya open your yap . so unless ya have a magic roe tree out back your allowed your one fish once in awhile.

That made me laugh, but way to true. Mind you I don't like seeing the bigger fish killed for roe, but we all need some It is important that we take some fish in a "heratige" kind of way to deal with the activist groups that attack us releasing fish claiming we are sadistic by hooking and fighting fish to release them .Keep in touch, the trusty Loomis is ready and waiting
