Winter is coming!

Fall is approaching fast and for all of us ice fisherman its time to start scouting some early ice spots. Panfish are my first targets when it comes to early ice. I feel this is the best time to target large Crappie and Gills because there is nobody else to compete against. I love being the first one on the lake but obviously safety comes first. My 1st ice equipment consist of a walking spud bar, clam electric auger, safety spikes, good set of ice creepers, along with a little tackle and a flasher/camera combo. By packing light and hole hopping / ice trolling you will be able to get yourself a nice mess of 1st ice fillets.
