Bassin for Lakers

When my buddy Landon called me one afternoon and told me to bring my bass gear after work and meet him at the ramp, I had no idea what I was in for. Ok he did mention bring the heaviest swim baits you have. So I packed up a Concept Ti bait casting rod spooled with 30lb suffix 832, grabbed a bag of 6" Storm wild eye shads and off I went. Not many bass in 100+ feet of water I said jokingly… well what happened next was no joke. We may have only gotten 8-9 jigging bites in 3 hours but managed to reel in a few Jurassic quality lakers! What fun!!

They are Wil. I bring them down to Mexico with me every time I go too. The locals swear by them for snook…. jurassic snook! I've seen the mangled remains of the baits. They actually sew them back together so they can reuse them because they are so hard to find down there.

Those Storm Wild Eye Shads are dynamite aren't they Morgan? Something I think a lot of lake trout anglers leave sitting in their tackle boxes too often instead of using them. Way to go!
