Connecticut River Kayak Fishing

I headed out yesterday to fish an area of the Connecticut River that I had never fished before. Anytime I fish the CT river I hope to come home with some walleye for supper and this trip was no different. I started out trolling first thing in the morning with only a few small bluegill and some decent yellow perch to show for it. As the sun rose I switched to fishing with the Whisperer with no weight and picked up a few nice fish that way. As I got ready to leave I decided to drift back to where I started using the Sonarphone hoping to mark deeper structure. There was very little, but when I did find structure it held an abundance of walleye, crappie, and some big gills. I released everything except one nice walleye to take home and eat.
