Filming a Bass show with Sportsman 360 TV

I received a surprise call a few days ago from NHL legend Owen Nolan asking if I wanted to film a bass show with him on the Bay of Quinte. Of course I was pumped and said yes. I met Owen a couple years ago when we ran an NPS promotion with Outdoor Canada which sent a lucky NPS fan and a friend to fish with NHL'ers Owne Nolan, and Keith Aulie at Lloyd Lake Lodge in Northern Saskatchewan. After that wicked trip we kept in touch. Owen lives in San Jose, so we don't get to fish together, so getting out with him for a day was a real bonus. We started our day fishing some deep weedbeds. We flipped a variety of soft plastics in 6-12 Feet of water and caught a few fish right off the bat. As soon as the wind came up and it got hot we knew we needed to make a change. With the winds blowing we shifted our strategy to fast reaction style baits in shallow on wind blown shore lines. Immediately that decision paid off with a good number of fish coming on spinnerbaits and soft plastic jerkbaits. We even found a toad sitting under a tree. It was truly an action filled multi species day which is what the bay is known for. We got into a few Gar and a couple bonus fish I'll save for the show. Once the show is released I'll be sure to share the link. It was such a fun day and we were able to show many of the ways I have success fishing Quinte! I also want to thank Nick Pujic from Vantage Point Media House for making the day super easy and stress free and Jack Summers for allowing us to film out of his awesome boat! Don't worry Jack, we only hit one rock, nothing that can't be fixed ;)
