This past weekend I took a friend of mine to Frankford, ON to fly fish for some smallmouth bass on Poppers....Well, that was the plan anyway.
She's just new to the whole fly fishing scene and unfortunately wasn't having the best of luck with the ole' one hander, so I offered to teach her how to cast with a switch rod. She agree'd to give it a shot. And here's what we came up with!

After about 1 hour worth of instruction, I decided to pull the iphone out and capture some video of her casting techniques to show her fiance as well as to give her a better idea of how her form looked... Well doesn't she go and hook into a nice 2.5-3lb smallie. The day couldn't have ended on a happier note!
